The Studio is a queer- and woman-owned creative space in the heart of Hermosa Beach's Arts District, built for artists, musicians, makers, and the beautifully hard-to-categorize. We believe creativity thrives when people feel like they belong, so we created a place where rehearsals turn into collaborations, performances become conversations, and big ideas have room to breathe.

Housed in the former Hermosa Music Company and inspired by the legacy of our friend Kevin Sousa, The Studio carries forward the spirit of the local music scene while carving out something entirely its own. Next door, we also own and operate Not Shockboxx, our nonprofit contemporary art gallery, creating a campus where visual art, live music, film, workshops, and community collide under one roof.

Whether you're planning a concert, recording session, rehearsal, artist talk, pop-up, workshop, or something nobody's thought of yet, our flexible space is ready for it. We provide the lights, sound, and atmosphere. You bring the people and the imagination.
